Tinker Air & Space Show: Summer 2007, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2017, 2019, July 1-2, 2023
STAAR Solutions partners with multiple Non-Federal Entities (NFE) including the Air Force Association, the City of Midwest City, Eastern Oklahoma County Tourism Council, 72nd Force Support, and the Services Division at TAFB to support a community based joint sponsorship campaign. Each NFE provides assets to support the state’s largest Free Air Show event. STAAR Solutions creates the joint campaign used by each of the entities and assists with community support and oversight of the combined effort as well as manages the majority of sponsorship sales and activation rights. Previous events in 2007 and 2019 have featured the US Navy Blue Angels. In 2008, 2010, 2014, 2017, the USAF Thunderbirds were the featured attraction. 2019 hosted an estimated crowd in excess of 195,000 with an additional 30-40,000 spectators on city streets and over $750,000 in sponsorships. Our next Air Show is scheduled for Father's Day weekend, June 19-20, 2021 and features the USAF Thunderbirds and a stellar lineup of airacts. New to the airshow is the STEM City Hangar and a beer garden.

SoccerCity Tulsa and Oklahoma City: 2011 - Present
SoccerCity Tulsa and SoccerCity Oklahoma City are the two largest indoor turf sports and recreational centers. The two venues combined have over 900,000 user visits. SoccerCity is a member of United States Indoor Soccer Association and houses the Oklahoma Soccer Association. SoccerCity partners with the OKC Energy and Tulsa Roughnecks, Oklahoma Soccer Association, the Red Dirt Agility Dog shows as well as 50+ outdoor youth and adult leagues statewide. SoccerCity OKC supports a variety of area high schools and colleges as well including UCO, OCU, SNU and Oklahoma Christian. Tulsa also partners with a variety of area high schools as well as Tulsa University. Although Soccer is the primary sport at Soccer City, the venue also hosts lacrosse, dodge ball, flag football, kick ball, kornhole and other activities that can be played on a turf surface. STAAR Solutions is the agency of record for SoccerCity.

SCOTFEST: September 2015 to Present September 16 – 18, 2022
SCOTFEST is Oklahoma's Premier Scottish Highland Games & Celtic Music festival, the flagship celebration of Celtic history, music and heritage that is the biggest and best in the region. The three day festival offers attractions for the entire family that include a great selection of beer, food, and crafts along with music, traditional Scottish and Irish dancing, pipes & drums, highland games and a dedicated kids glen. The annual event will be held at Broken Arrow Events Park, with an anticipated attendance of 27,000 people and growing, mostly coming from across Oklahoma and surrounding states.

Microsoft PowerDive365: June7-9, 2020 (Due to Covid 19 Pandemic, this event was canceled and will Not be returning​​​​​​​)

The Powerdive 365 conference brings to you the world’s leading experts in SharePoint, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Azure BI, Apps and several more functionalities in this three-day conference. Whether you are new to SharePoint or an experienced Office 365 power user, admin or developer, the Powerdive365 conference and Expo has content designed to fit your experience level and area of interest. Our workshops and sessions are taught by Microsoft Certified Trainers, Microsoft MVPs, Microsoft Regional Directors and Microsoft engineers. This convention held at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Tulsa, OK is sure to ignite your career path and provide you with the education and tools to support all your company and/or client needs. Sponsorships and vendors are being sought for the Microsoft Office conference in Tulsa as well as attendees. The overall attendance is expected to be around 500.

PLEX Indoor Sports: 2003 to 2018
Plex Indoor Sports was the first client for STAAR Solutions and the longest running client dating back to 2003. Plex Indoor Sports now has two locations at the Village at Sandhills in Columbia, SC and the Ice facility in Irmo, SC (on the other end of the Greater Columbia, SC market). The combined facilities represent over 125,000 of recreational space with three indoor turf fields, basketball/volleyball courts, hard court inline Hockey and Volleyball court, an inflatable playland, HiWire trampoline park and the only regulation sized ice rink in the central part of South Carolina, which is home to Game Cock Hockey. STAAR Solutions has been the agency of record for Plex and over the years has easily sold over $1,500,000 in combined sponsorships and in-kind support. December 3, 2013 marked the 10th anniversary for Plex Indoor Sports.

Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education: 2014-2018
The Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education serves professionals and educators by providing foresight and direction needed to develop a productive and competitive workforce for Oklahoma. The association works to advocate good workforce and education policy for Oklahomans, provide leadership opportunities, and educate policymakers, administrators, parents, business and industry representatives, students and the public about the value of career and technology programs.

Made in Oklahoma Fest: City of Midwest City 2017 – 2019,

After rebranding the Made in Oklahoma Wine, Beer and Food Festival we also increased the size and engagement of the entire festival. In 2018, STAAR Solutions managed the entire festival due to a staff change and worked in 2019 to increase the festival to a two-day event. More bands, more vendors and more sponsors have continually led to the growth of this local event.

Backwoods Camping & Music Festival: September 2016 and 2017
Backwoods Music and Camping Festival located north of the I-44 Turnpike in the woods near Stroud, OK is a reinvented and magical 3-day camping and music festival. With seven hand built stages all with their own appeal, Backwoods is Oklahoma's largest EDM and Indie festival. Over 10,000 fans from 48 states flocked to the first year Tatanka ranch based festival to listen to hundreds of artists and DJ's performing over the three day event. Oklahoma is looking at Backwoods becoming the first real designation festival for millennial and EDM fans from all across the nation and abroad.

Rocklahoma: May 2014, 2015, 2016
Rocklahoma is the largest three-day music festival in Oklahoma with an average daily attendance of approximately 50,000 attendees. Located in Pryor, Oklahoma, Rocklahoma takes place each Memorial Day Weekend with 400 acres of camping for guests of the festival and over 90 bands over the course of the four days.

Made in Oklahoma: Wine, Beer and Food Festival: 2013-2016
This inaugural event will prove to be an unforgettable festival that is unique to Oklahoma. Held at the Sheraton Midwest City Hotel at the Reed Conference Center, Oklahoma vendors will share locally-grown and produced wines, beer, food and wares in a fun-filled festival atmosphere.

 

US Indoor Sports Association: 2010 - 2015
STAAR Solutions was the current agency of record for United States Indoor sports Association (which is also USIndoor Soccer Association). STAAR provides training support through articles in the national Go Indoor Magazine and at the national conference as well as consulting services to member indoor sports facilities of USIndoor Sports. STAAR Solutions and USIndoor Sports is now embarking on a new national sponsorship campaign.

 

Center of the Universe Festival: July 2015
The Center of the Universe Festival is a two-day, non-profit music and arts experience held in Tulsa’s booming Brady Arts District. The event, scheduled for July 24 and 25, 2015, is named after the popular downtown Tulsa landmark, the Center of the Universe, located on the Boston Avenue pedestrian bridge between Archer and First Street. Founded in 2013, the festival brings a huge crowd every year.

 

Oklahoma City Downtown Airpark: 2013 - 2014
With the skyline as the backdrop, the OKC Downtown Airpark brings music to the masses in this brand new venue. Redesigned and implemented on-going sponsorships for outdoor music amphitheatre with average 15 concerts per season from May – October, beginning in the 2014 season.

 

Gentlemen of the Road, Guthrie Stopover: September 2013
Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers is a global series of events in small cities and towns around the world, created by Mumford & Sons. The vision is simple: a music festival that celebrates local people, food and culture, where everyone pitches in and everybody gets something back.

 

Oklahoma Soccer Association: 2013
Oklahoma Soccer Association is the state’s leading oversight youth sport organization providing a variety of campaigns and services to support the propagation of the sport of soccer throughout all of Oklahoma. As part of that mission, OSA supports approximately 104 clubs throughout the state with over 3500 individual teams of players from ages 6 and under through 50 plus with an approximate total of 44,400 plus players statewide. STAAR was contracted to create a local sponsorship campaign, collateral materials for sale of sponsorships, contracts, proposals and initial training for the association.

 

Wedding Market Expo: 2012-2013
STAAR Solutions is partnering with Wedding Market Expo to create a series of events that will be occuring in Kansas City (April 9-11), Austin (August 6-8), Atlanta (September 10-12), and St. Petersburg, FL (October 22-24), in 2013. These events will be drawing attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors from within a targeted 200 mile radius per locale. Each event will be a two-day conference and exhibit; attendees will advance understanding of key issues in the wedding and event planning industry, learning new tips and strategies on expanding business or making it more profitable, viewing and shopping new products and services that can be utilized to expand business, etc. The target audience for this Expo will be decision-making business people throughout the industry.

 

Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheatre Music Complex: 2006 - 2012
Redesigned and implemented on-going sponsorships for outdoor music amphitheatre with average 15 concerts per season from May – October. Successfully increased overall sponsorship giving, value in kind support and redesign of overall sponsorship campaign for successful outdoor music amphitheatre.

 

Pacific Sports Center: 2012
The complex consists of two full-sized regulation boarded fields in Tacoma, WA. STAAR was contracted to create a local sponsorship campaign, collateral materials for sale of sponsorships, contracts, proposals and initial training for the privately owned indoor sports and recreation facility.

 

EXPLORE: Oklahoma Healthcare Summit: August 2012
Sponsorship coordinator on behalf of PLICO Financial. The conference consisted of two full-day seminars, an expo open to attendees and invited guests, and an expo opening reception, followed by an evening reception at the Devon boathouse. The Summit provided healthcare professionals a place to discuss ideas and discover solutions for the challenges they face in an uncertain medical environment. The target audience for this event was primarily physicians, PA’s, nurse practitioners, hospital administrators, and other professionals in the medical field.

 

Oklahoma Workers' Comp Symposium: August 2011
Sponsorship coordinator on behalf of the State Chamber of Commerce. The two-day event consisted of an evening reception and a full day seminar, as well as a tradeshow that was open to attendees and the general public. Attendees learned how to control costs, ensure quality medical care, get workers back on the job sooner, minimize liability risks, and much more. The target audience for this event was primarily for Human Resource Practitioners, Claims Managers, Risk Managers, Insurance Adjustors, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, medical staff and business owners. 

 

In the Net/On the Ice: 2011
Two premier sports complexes, field and ice, located in Palmyra, PA. STAAR was contracted to create a local sponsorship campaign, collateral materials for sale of sponsorships, contracts, proposals and initial training for the privately owned indoor sports and recreation facility.

 

Missouri Grand Prix: February 2011
STAAR Solutions was engaged by the University of Missouri student recreational center leadership to create a sponsorship campaign to support the Missouri Grand Prix, which is a national United States Swimming invitational competition that is won by bid for each region of the nation. The event boasts Olympic and National Team member swimmers from throughout the USA and teams and individuals from some of the best colleges and private programs within the region. STAAR also created a sponsorship campaign to support the Big 12 championships at the University of Missouri as well as campaign assets to support a campaign for the Student Recreation Center. STAAR’s efforts were primarily to create the campaign and subsequent sales materials and not to actually sell and support the sponsorships, which was done in-house by University of Missouri staff.

 

Norman Music Festival: April 2011
Norman Music Festival is an ongoing annual free street and local venue music festival featuring top emerging talent from throughout the State of Oklahoma and the USA. STAAR Solutions sold sponsorships at the very end of 2010 and was the agency of record responsible for the sponsorship campaign for 2011. In 2011, over 200 bands played on three outdoor stages and 12 indoor bars and restaurants in downtown Norman, OK over a three day period of time.  Co-presenting sponsor Fowler Auto Group and Fender lead a large group of sponsors in support of the free festival with an estimated combined 3 day attendance of over 50,000. The festival included an arts festival, children’s area spread out over a 4 city block area.  2011 was the largest year for sponsorships to date for the festival including 2012.

 

Rock-N- America: July 2010
Rock-N-America was a first-time 3 day music festival held at the Zoo Amphitheatre. The all 80’s Rock Festival featured acts such as Twisted Sister, Ratt, Warrant, Dokken, Great White , Lita Ford, Slaughter, Steelheart, Cinderella and headlined by the Scorpions. Over 30 artists played on three stages over three days. Outside the amphitheatre was an experimental local talent tent to showcase local artists and to provide onsite food vendors and support structure to the 3 day event. Sponsorships included cash, value in kind support including a tremendous amount of additional infrastructure, media, hotels and restaurants as well as a food/festival vendor area.

 

Live Earth Oklahoma: April 2010
Live Earth Oklahoma was part of the International Event Live Earth which is hosted every 2-4 years. The 2010 Live Earth initiative surrounded hosting a 5K run to simulate the average distance people in many third world countries have to walk each day 3.6 miles to get to fresh water and then carry it back to their village. The purpose of this event in 2010 was to increase awareness for water scarcity and the need to create alternatives for providing fresh drinking water sources worldwide.

The Oklahoma Live Earth event was considered one of the most engaging events in the USA by the USA Live Earth organizers with a full blown two day “earth day” trade show and expo of “Green and Sustainable” products and services, plus wine tasting, local beer tasting, artists and music all donated by 12 local surrounding music groups with a very eclectic grouping of style. Hosted at Remington Park, the event featured a children’s walk at the neighboring Oklahoma City Zoo, and a 5 K run starting at the nearby Softball park and surrounding areas. The event was supposed to feature a major concert event, but Live Earth International fell short on providing the talent. Sponsorships included site location support, media, musicians and talent, support by the local wineries and breweries, cash and other in-kind support. Overall the event had over $250,000 in combined support for the two-day festival. To date, this was the largest single GREEN Initiative held in the State of Oklahoma to the best of our knowledge.

 

Air & Rocket Racing Show: April 2010
The Tulsa Air Show hosted by the Tulsa Air and Space Museum was a first time event to inaugurate Rocket Racing, as well as bring awareness to the Tulsa Air and Space Museum. Attendance was estimated at well over 50,000 with sponsorships exceeding $250,000 including a presenting sponsorship from Quik Trip.

 

DFEST: 2008 - 2009
STAAR Solutions was part of a sponsorship team working with Dfest Music Festival. Beginning with low level, last minute sponsorships in 2008, STAAR worked with Dfest leadership to re-engineer the entire sponsorship campaign and sales deck. The results were the highest level of sponsorships in their 8-year history and over 60,000 in attendance. With over 140 bands playing on two main outdoor stages and some 10 bars and restaurants on a five city block by two block area of downtown Tulsa, DFEST at the time was the state’s largest outdoor music festival. Sponsorships exceeded $400,000 in combined revenues and in-kind support. Adding brokered media took the total campaign to an excess of $600,000 for the two-day music festival and industry conference.

 

OKC National Drag Boat Races: June 2009
Sponsorship Sales under direction of Mike McAuliffe and OKC Events and Entertainment.

Obtained Official Sponsorship Funding in 2009 on behalf of numerous OKC Nationals Drag Boat Races on the Oklahoma River.

 

Oklahoma Centennial Commission: 2004 - 2008
Sponsorship Sales for OK Centennial Commission under direction of Lee Allan Smith and OK Events and Centennial Commission Office.

Obtained Official Centennial Event Status and Sponsorship Funding in 2007 on behalf of numerous OK based events, including the OCU Head of the Oklahoma Centennial Regatta, MADA Auto Show Centennial Auto Exhibit, Bricktown Nationals Drag Boat Races, and Star Spangled Salute Air Show.

 

Oklahoma City University Head of Oklahoma Regatta: 2004 - 2007
Co-Founder of the OCU Head of the Oklahoma Regatta and management support 2004-2007. Festival Coordination including Arts, Children’s and Food Vendor areas. Each year successfully funded the event with positive cash flow position following the event and continual sponsorship growth as event grew. Event opened the door for larger events, and involvement with USOC Rowing and USOC Canoeing/Kayaking, additional regattas and creation and establishment of competitive boathouse. Completed Centennial commitment to event in 2007.

 

Coffee Creek Music Complex near Duncan OK: Spring/Summer 2006
Redesigned and implemented ongoing sponsorships for outdoor farm based music amphitheatre with average 5-7 concerts per season from May – October. Turned campaign over to local management after initial implementation.

 

Bricktown Nationals Drag Boat Race: OK River: 2005 - 2006
Event management support for inaugural Drag Boat Races on the OK River – largest Drag Boat Race in the history of the SDBA (Southern Drag Boat Racing Association) to date. Redesigned sponsorship campaign and cultivated new sponsorship campaign leading to new title sponsorship valued at $150,000 for 2006 races.

 

Renegade Sports Complex – Panama City, Florida: 2006
Contracted to create a local sponsorship campaign, collateral materials for sale of sponsorships, contracts, proposals and initial training for privately owned indoor sports and recreation facility.

 

United States Olympic Training Center for United States Diving: 2001 - 2004 (official Olympic Diving Governing Body)

Obtained first time contract and became home to Regional Training Center to US Diving. Results were numerous national US Diving training camps, competitions, hiring and supervision of Olympic level coach and cultivation of regional training team for US Diving.

 

Oklahoma City Community College: 1995 – 2003

As previous Director for Recreation and Community Services at local state Community College with annual enrollment over 23,000 maintained recreation and intramurals department while managing community based program. Established first time sponsorship campaign generating additional $100,000 - $125,000 in revenue and in-kind support annually.
